We woke this morning to a beautiful, frosty fog hanging over the Tallgrass Prairie.
Our horse, Boogie, had frost coating the hairs of her ears and mane.
The cedar tree in our yard had icy boughs and there were ice crystals all along the fence.
The buffalo looked white with their humps covered in frozen fog.
Here are some pics taken by my daughter and thanks for looking!

Thanks Cynangyl! My daughter uses Coral Paintshop to crop and edit her pictures. She likes to use that black border--she took that idea from Montana Jim, because his pictures always look so good with the border.
We're ready for some warmer days so we can go outside longer than 5 minutes at a time :D. Snow has been on the ground here in Oklahoma since Christmas and I'm tired of looking at it.
Stay warm and kind regards,

Yeah, Josie was feeding Boogie a carrot(that's why she had her neck and head stretched out ---she's a little pig when it comes to eating carrots! ;D). That horse shoe was one I dug up in our yard metal detecting--I forgot it was even on the fence!
Thanks MG!

Yes, I saw where southern Okla. was warming into the 40's today :hello2:. Hopefully those southerly breezes will warm us up, too. Almost all of our snow has melted except for the drifts--temperature made the 30's today!--supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow! We're gonna try to get out in the woods and do some exploring this weekend(but I think after reading some of your posts about mountain lions :help: , we might start packing a bigger gun!).
Stay safe!

That's funny, seger98! Do you suppose they make ear muffs long and skinny enough for a horse? If it was possible my daughter would have some for her horses. :laughing7: If she could get them to stand still long enough to put them on! :laughing7:.

Thanks Molly! It has finally warmed up here(into the 40's today) and is supposed to be in the upper 50's by this weekend :hello2: . We'll get to do some artifact hunting/metal detecting maybe!

I need to wash my truck, too, MG! Its going to be muddy on my road for awhile, so I may hold off until everything dries out. Me and the girls went driving around in the woods yesterday and I had to lock the old Blazer into 4-wheel drive mode---it was a little soggy---we were throwing rooster tails :laughing9:! I know when I go detecting, though, that all this moisture in the ground is gonna make my Prizm sing ;D.
