I hate it when that happens. Glad you were able to get out.

Good job Gary under tough conditions. That LC looks to be pretty decent. What part of the world are you in bud? I'm in Maine and it was 48 and sunny today. Hoping I can actually dig a few holes this weekend
Btw I always put my keepers in a Tupperware case with a soft cloth in it. Then put it in my backpack. Scared to death to lose something out there

Gary Thanks for sharing your hunt with us. Very nice finds.

Just starting to thaw down hear in mass getting excited

I'm happy to hear you guys are beginning to thaw out, those are some nice finds, out here in the desert we have just the opposite problem, it's warming up and we're in a drought...and our friendly rattler's are coming out to greet us, awe the joys of desert hunting! Thanks for sharing.

Very nice cent. I often think the longer winters and sometimes the wetness preserves the relics much better up North than in the South. Good luck on re finding your last find!

Tnmountains
Well we have had a very long winter, one of the longest/coldest i can remember... so things should be preserved good.and the heavy frost deep in the ground should have moved stuff up and down. HH !

Hey Gary nice finds! Sounds like frost wise we are thawing about the same.

I was planning on getting an F70 this spring, BUT I have to buy my kid an F2 and a ProPointer so that tightens the budget a little for me. Right now I have been looking at the Omega and I know you are a regular user of it. Can tell me how good of depth it gets and which coil you use? Can it get close to a F70 in depth?

rainyday
I never had the F70 so i can`t comment on that .
The Omega is a very deep machine with the Stock 10" elliptical concentric coil i have pulled a large cent at 10".
The 5 " DD coil does not lose much depth at all...and no need to pin point with that coil.
The 11 " DD coil would be my go to coil same depth as the 10" concentric ,but covers more ground.
The Omega is very sensitive, and separates targets great...1- 4 tone in Disc.and adjustable tone in AT, also ID#s in AT .
A great relic hunter with the Iron Audio...the 5"DD coil and, Disc.set at 1 ...in 2 tone is killer at old cellar holes...those old coppers just can`t hide.
I`d say go for the Omega!

Congrats on the LC and button(s) the one that "jumped ship" just wanted to go back to be with the $10.00 eagle in the dirt!Don't worry you'll get them both next time..... HH

Thanks for the input Gary. If I can swing it I will get the F70, but if not I am tempted to try an Omega. I really like the lower freq for them silver coins and that is my primary target. I am definitely getting the F2 for my 8 year old though. If were just up to me he would get a Compadre, but the screen will keep him entertained and that is important!

My F70 and GoldbugPro, even they are on a higher frequency, are still deeper on silver than any other "silver" frequency machines I have. (F2, F5, GTP1350, Gamma). As are the F75 and T2. So I wouldn't assume the Omega is deeper based on it's frequency.

I have the Teknetics G2, it was not as deep as the Omega on silver...my old Tesoro Toltec II is deeper than the G2.
