Fruitless hunt but a happy ending

I spent an hour and a half with high hopes detecting an old farmstead permission with nothing worthwhile found. For consolation I I hit a local park where I've never found anything old and when I was almost back to my car ready to call it a day this pops out of a hole... 1901 Barber silver half dollar. The best coin I've ever found in my short time detecting!
