FRYING PAN SHOAL SHIPWRECK

was easy to see how your wreck got that way ---just like you did but no help to get free.

We basically went through a white-out where we had absolutely no visibility and the radar was on the fritz. The inlet at Cape Fear is also a major shipping channel and tankers and cargo ships move through there daily. So the captain tried to get us just outside the channel and then ordered me to drop the bow anchor. Went I exited the wheelhouse a 60mph gust of wind caught me and I hydroplaned across the deck and nearly went over-I managed to grab the bowrail at the last second. By the time the hook bit, we were already grounding on top of the oyster bar.

Hey Ivan, I have a book recommendation for you-I really think you will like it. I did.
