Got lucky today. Was out running some errands and stopped at a bank that rarely ever
produces anything. But...today was my lucky day. The only teller that had any halves
had one roll that someone brought in a week ago. Turned out to be a full roll of very
nice 40%ers. Most of the coins are uncirculated and in excellent condition. Sorry the
photo isn't the best as my cell phone pictures never turn out good. Happy Hunting out
there. Oh by the way....I met another forum CRHer today. Nice young man. I wish
him luck. Anyway, Enjoy the photo.

Nice score! Seems that there's a lot of solid rolls showin' up around here recently.

Hey Rileyboy, I hope I get the opportunity to meet you some day. There is something about you... and just based on the three months I have been watching this forum, it seems that out of everyone here, you have very very good scores. Consistently... Awesome man, I hope to score a full roll someday. I am extremely jealous, but your finds give me hope that I will have my turn, so keep it up. Thanks for the optimism. Are you in a big city? It seems like finds like these would happen more in big cities. I am in the biggest city in Utah, and for anyone who doesnt know what that is, it gives u an idea of how big it isnt...

chris.

Sweet Sil-vah!!

Scored a full roll of 40%ers myself in those same rolls... funny. i guess we are twins :tongue3:

Hi Rockdoc, (Chris),
Thank you for your very kind response. Yes, I am located very near a large city on the east coast.
Plenty of banks, but along with that....there is a lot of competition in my area. The CRHers that I
know here are all good people and we work with each other to keep from getting each other's
dumps. After a while you learn which banks are other CRHer's dump places and you avoid those banks. In the past few years, the pickings have gotten thin. But, you never know what's out there
until you go look. Boxes have kind of dried up lately, but with all the "skunks" you get lucky once in a while and that's what keeps you going. Lately, I've been doing customer wrapped rolls and tray hunting and that seems to keep me in some good finds. Being retired, I would road trip around the area almost everyday with my dog "Riley" in the car. However, the price of gas has slowed me down, so I have specific routes that I do every other week and that seems to be it for now. Hope you score
out there. Utah is a beautiful state, so road trips must be interesting for you. Keep at it....I always say,...."It's out there for the finding."
Best of luck to you,
rileyboy,
(Rich, R.I.P.)

That is a sweet score rileyboy. I wish I had the patience to search for customer wrapped rolls as that seems to be where the big scores are had, but I just got tired of asking only to hear "we don't have any". Good luck in your searches.

Great score! Congrats

I'm starting to think you use Riley to "sniff" out the silver for ya ;D
