The funny thing is after news reports of over 500,000 dollars worth of antique treasure found on the treasure coast last year no one has found any ( I know mums the word ) . My question is does a market exist for these gold dubloons from the 15, 16 , 1700's etc. found on the treasure coast. I have seen the prices on them at Mels museum but are they bought and sold anywhere else and how rare are these transactions?

Yes, there is a market for the coins you mentioned. Even big auction houses get in this loop. I'm now looking at a Ponterio and Associates, Inc. sales cat. that features hundreds of different reales from the 17th C. No doubt they've also auctioned off gold coins of this period.
Have you found any? Posted their pics?
All the best,
Don......
