Squeezed in what was probably my last hunt of the season a week or so ago on a lovely 40 degree day and came home with less than went out with. Not only didn't I find much (2 clad dimes), but my soles of my shoes, which were only a couple of years old, disintegrated and fell off as I walked back to the car. By the time I reached it, I was walking pretty much on the thin foam inside liners. Gave me the giggles and really cold feet. Love the hobby and will be back in the spring, with new hunting shoes.

didn't I tell you to stay out of the nuclear dump?

Funny Susan. I certainly wouldn't want to walk a mile in your shoes lol :>)

You must have put some serious miles on those puppies, girl!

Anita

That is funny...........

Now we know what to get you for Christmas!

I hate when that happens.

You could take the soles the rest of the way out, and you'd have a polite way to go barefooted. That's too funny, metal detecting plumb outta your shoes.
Better luck next time.

Here's your next pair of shoes:

I was thinking the crumbling soles was caused by leaving the shoes in the car during the hot summer and then walking in them on the cold ground, but in checking on the web a lot of people had the same thing happen with their Born shoes. It really was funny but I have to admit I didn't stop to pick up the pieces as they were falling off.

Ringfinder, you know if this winter is anything like last, we will all need those snow shoes.

I didn't think it was ok to dig on Three Mile Island.....
