Here are two other's found in the past which have rocker engraving marks. Very unique patterns in my opinion!

Great find flintlock. What group or tribe do you associate these with. I hunt a Kaw site and have only found one piece of silver. A lot of other adornments, just not silver. I had heard that the Kaw were very poor.

Awesome looking fur trade silver ring and it looks like the silver band is still attached.

Really cool find, congrats!

Very nice ring! I don't find that style of silver ring here.....only have found one silver (twin hearts style) all the rest are brass......Any ideas of the dates of your site?

In the journals of George Catlin (the painter) he personally witnessed Fur Traders actively trading with the Indians in this area around the 1830's. Most things I find of fur trade are from this period but on occasion I will find objects that predate this by 50 to 100 years and I can only assume these were brought down from the Great Lakes region from the mid 18th century.
