Trying to date a button.

Hey guys.

I found this two piece button that I believe to be French origins.

It's a copper alloy with what looks like gilt plating. The back plate is made of iron.

I'm having a hard time finding information on two piece buttons with an iron back plate. Have yall found any buttons like this in the fur trad era?
