XP Deus, Minelab Equinox, Garrett Ace Apex
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I was detecting a small field with the XP Deus that I had hit pretty hard with the Equinox earlier this year. I was working slowly because there’s lots of trash, and finally got a coin sounding 91 on the Deus.

I believe that this is a Galway Farthing Token from the 19th century.

It’s actually in really good shape, all things considered, so of course someone had to hole it back in the day!

That's a very cool find! Here's the listing for it from The Token Book 2 (Withers):

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Great find!
Love the Deus in trash.

I run Deus fast at 25 kHz with ID Norm turned off. This causes most coin TIDs to be pushed well into the 90’s. I also use audio response set at 3 which makes coins easily distinguishable from modern trash. I can still hear a coin at 10 inches, even with a lower audio response.

Excellent token find!
You did well picking it out of the trash.

That's a cool token Mike, did you go out into the mess we had here yesterday? Also love the work you're doing on your old coppers, great pictures!

way cool, thanks

As crazy as I am; I wouldn't dare have gone out yesterday... I found this token a couple of feet from the road in that field that we've all hit a dozen times!
