This is a sniper coil but not as good as the Garrett sniper for finding coins in trashy areas. The Excelerator didn't seem as deep to me and I thought the cable was thinner from the Garrett. If you have it wound on the shaft tight so there is no flexing you should be OK. Sweep slowly and try to over lap the sweeps a little and let the detector disc out what you don't want. Good luck and make the ground look like no body was digging there when done.
