Garrett ace 350 any good?

I picket up an ace 350 with a sniper search coil as an extra along with the orig. like new and the guy went to the AT Pro. I have $210 in it and he said it was a deal. It was the kit. Bag tool headphones ect. Did I do goo or get robbed?

You did quite well!! The only deficit is that you can't dump it under water as the AT PRO!! Great unit for land exploration!! And at a good price as long as it is functional and works well!! Enjoy your unit and GOOD HUNTING !! VERDE!!

Thanks V. Is it waterproof coil do you know? The orig. or the sniper coil either one or will having it I. A foot or so of water ruin it?

You did good! I paid $300 just for the basic 350 new.

I have one and an ATP. Love the 350 its a great machine and its waterproof up to the head unit, you can't get that part wet at all bit certainly can dip the coil and shaft onto water no problem, I've done it. I suggest buying the ace cover of you beach hint to prevent surf spray from hitting the head unit, also good for regular hunting so your dirty fingers don't mess up the screen. Higher frequency than a 150, 250 and easily hit targets at a foot deep. Sniper coil is $75 itself,great for tot lots. Great buy, you did well. HH

It's waterproof up to the box I'd say u got a good deal with the extra coil score, I mean that coil itself is a 75+ so take that off what u got into it. I'm sure there will b a couple guys will say something negative just brush it off, learn it watch garrets vids,read the manual & ull find a lot of great things believe me. Are there better of course there's always gonna b one better then the one u have no matter what ur using. Just have fun & it'll soon pay for itself

Are you asking Is the Garret Ace 350 any good? Or are you asking if the deal is any good? Almost anything is any good depending on what you mean by any good. The 350 must be any good because its a garrett. But not as good as an atpro, that's why the guy got rid of it. Ya got a good deal no matter what.

I mean, if he got this thing and it wouldn't power up even, he could still use it for beating down a burglar,or as a door prop or something!?! - This i guess would Technically make it "any good"! I don't know about a $200 door prop though lol!

Laughing out loud- literally! Someone should start a thread about crazy/stupid/ unbelievable uses for for metal detectors - other than the intended use of course- if someone starts this thread and people start posting pics- I could be entertained indefinitely I think!?!

As I said I have both the 350 & AT pro. The 350 can be dipped into water up to near the box, don't get the box or the connectors wet. Both the DD and sniper coil are water proof. I still have my 350 as a backup unit because I know how good it is. You got a really good deal, be happy and go have fun, that thing is a coin magnet.
