Gasprarilla Island, Englwood beach

I am wondering if it is permitted to water hunt the Gasparilla Island (town of Boca Grande), Englwood beach in SW Florida near Port Charlotte and are there any other places I should look into while I am there?

I will be taking a vacation there next spring, most likley right after spring break.
I will be using a Tesoro Eldorado (For Land hunts) and a Tesoro Sand Shark (For Water hunts).

Is there any other place I could hunt on land too?

Well I hunt Englewood beach about 3-4 times a week with my Minelab Excal in the water and the EX2/WOT on the land. Come join the party...

I will be in the area over Christmas and hope that my father-in-law and I can get out a little. Any other areas worth checking out. We will only be land hunting. Thanks in advance.

If you are in that area you should also check out Placidia and Pine Island. Pine Is. was a major pirate hangout.

I tried Pine Is. but I couldn't find a decent place. Any recommendations?
