Had a great day flats fishing once there was enough water to launch the boat! As you can see you must know the tides to fish this area in N. Florida

What made it the most fun was I caught 11 of the 13 on top water plug! Talk about getting your blood pumping!
 
So gator trout is a real fish? I thought you were talking about gar, lol. Nice catch. You are right. Something about a top water explosion always makes me jump and startles me.
 
No it's just my slang term for big speckled trout.
