Maybe not. It depends on the size, and the clarity. That one has good clarity. If it's 3/8" diameter, or larger, it would have a little value. I do some faceting, and if it's big enough, I'd like to have it. I'm not sure what rough, clear garnets go for. I would guess about $5.00/carat, with larger ones going for more.

definiatly looks gemy! cant tell from pic exactly what gemy goody you got there but ,its a keeper . is that pinkish? and i can see a natural facet,looks good

its garnet.. Fire garnets are getting 180$ a caret, on down to stoney garnets witch are 8.00 a lb. Keep the big ones!
