My first post for the New year 8) the Hammered are eluding me but not Michael he is on 5 now to my 0 oh well no doubt I will catch up did manage a few bits today although the going was real tough at times, the mud sticking to our boots was like lead weights

I thought I had finished the day of with Silver but it turned out to be a George111 1819 Counterfeit Half Crown you don't find one of these everyday but the best find of the day for me was the Charles 11 loyalist cuff button two harts below Crown, these buttons are often associated with the Restoration of Charles 11...c1660.
Hopefully the hammered will show soon as this is a new area for us and shows some promise

I almost miss it the post !!... was in the field.
The button in the crown is one of the top buttons and seen that and it is incredible to be made in the 17th century. and the buckle is very interesting.
