✅ SOLVED Georgia Smiley Face?

Found this trinket at a house site in town and was wondering how it would have been used? There is a square stud on the back. I thought it was silver at first because it came out of the ground as shiny as the pictures show but it is not marked and on closer inspection there are areas showing the base metal. t was also painted black. It weighs .28 oz or a little more than a quarter.

I think you have it. Thanks for the help. Apparently it is from the 1950s according to this site.
