Went to an estate sale at noon today. Local estate sale company was running it. Managed to nab a bunch of jewelry and this cool WWII marching compass from Germany. Compass is in excellent shape.

Wow price must have risen on those recently. My last 2 sold for around $60 each both A type one with, one without a lanyard. 1-2 years ago. Nice.

May well still be the deal. That’s just a listing. I ‘d def be happy with $60. I was surprised they sold it so cheap at the sale. It was a musician’s estate and I guess everybody was focused on the instruments etc. The compass is marked “CXN”. It was on the junk table (with all the men’s jewelry) so I googled CXN COMPASS and was dumbfounded to see it dated to WWII. Easy buy. But i might keep it.

I didn't realize it was just a listing. I feel a little better now, lol. Slim pickings around here lately, for the most part.

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :icon_thumleft:

Slim pickins here in H Town also. Garage sales way down. Heat?

Seems like here we have great weeks and then terrible weeks with little in between. Weather is also an annoying factor - be it heat like you suggested, or rain or toooooo nice out.
