I believe if gas goes to $12.50 a gallon, people will still line up at the pumps to buy it. Oh they'll gripe, and you'll see em on the evenin news talkin about it, but they'll still buy it.

Yup, folks will still pay up the ying-yang for gas....look at Europe. Now, the Middle East pays what we used to pay back in the 60's. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Anyway, we will still pay it if we need it to go to work etc. but buying trivial things will just about cease including vacations, reunions, fishing and hunting, going to the park etc., etc.. The cost of ALL products will go up, including, and especially, food. The farmer has to pay more so the consumer has to make up for it. Crime will increase and the "American way of life" (what's left of it) will be gone forever. It will all be worth it though as long as no reindeer get molested.

Here in Australia we're paying $5.26 per gallon/$1.39 per litre. And yes, we have to think long and hard before we take any unnecessary road trips. Over the past four years we've been making a round trip of 700klms/435miles every six weeks for our daughter to have specialist orthodontic work done (to avoid surgery) and i swear the fuel has almost ended up costing more than the orthodontist. All worth it though.

Modern fuel tanks are difficult if not impossible to siphon from with a hose and can . Knocking a hole in the bottom of the tank is dangerous and wasteful .
Disconnect the fuel pump output line . Attach your own hose to container or fuel tank . Connect your own battery to the fuel pump and pump away very quietly . Reconnecting the original equiptment when you are done is optional .
