Primary Interest:
Prospecting
I just started prospecting a little over a year ago here in NC. No luck so far, but a lot of great times. So several months ago I got a amazing deal on a $700 almost new gps for $70. In a month or so Im going to try some spots near the more remote old abandoned mines. If anybody has any tips I would appreciate it. For anybodys help I promise to give you my honest feedback. Thanks a lot.

If you had a MS Windows Tablet w/GPS enabled, I would suggest the MS App store and a $4.99 app called Maps Pro... or just click on the link for more info. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/g...where-you-need-getting-smarter-than-they.html Use that with a kml file overlay, and away you go.

As far as the Uwharrie goes... be away of the self-righteous tree-huggers and the ever present "Smokie". Do not post your plans in detail here, they can read this page. Enjoy.
