Ghost town finds

Another great day at the old ghost town. I ended up with an old lock, musket balls, a tag, a lead poker chip, and a musket flint. The flint was found by eye in a bean field

Does anyone have any idea what the tag is? I think it might be a trapper's tag. I may try electrolysis on the lock. The picture does not show it but the end of the key is broke off in the lock.

All finds were made on private property with permission from the owner.

Great find! I bet that lock would look sweet after some electrolysis.

That's another one of those things I've yet to find.

That site has good possibilities.

That may not be a broken key. Some locks had a pin and a hollow point key, perhaps to guide the key into the right position. Nice, though, and it appears to have the little dust cover thingy. The tag is interesting......
