Ghost town gold & Sierra silver weekend !
Hey everyone !
I just got back from our Family trip to the Sierras . We stayed at my Parents cabin for 4 days . My Son Carson has been wanted to go gold panning so the 4 of us drove about 2 and half hours to a ghost town named Dog Town . It is near Bodie , California . There is a small river that runs by Dog Town that we have panned in for years . It always gives up a little gold , and when I say a little I mean a little ! It is more for the fun of it . We did get a few small flecks of gold witch feed the fever . The next two days I hunted the local lake again and sure enough it gave up some more old coins . I hunted also some near by campgrounds . I found a 1910 V nickel , 1935 Washington , 1952 D Rosie witch I nicked and three Wheats 1946D ,50D , 58D . Carson found $1.28 in clad and I found $3.62 . In the third picture I finally got my 15 year Daughter , Cassie , panning for gold !
Well back to work tomorrow .
