Ghost town help

I caught up with an old friend who knows about a site where a town flooded out in 1913. He said there are lots of foundations and a old RR station there. How do you approach a hunt on someplace of this size Any advice/direction would be great I'm headed up there Saturday AM I'll post all finds/loot Thanks Acevilla-v

Well since you have probably already been there by now this may be late, but first i would find the owner and get permission. Next i would research and find where the general store or commissary was located and also look for any place where money exchanged hands
