My daughter has most of the basics, just curios what some of you guys might recommend for a 13 year old that likes to explore, detect and is very crafty, shes has a metal detector and does not want to upgrade..:coffee2:

How about a pinpointer?

Does she have a good pin pointer?

Are there swimming holes locally frequented by the public? Maybe a small underwater hand held detector and snorkel gear. If she likes it, get ready for full blown scuba lessons and gear.

Any place to go magnet fishing? That can be fun, also frustrating when the magnet won't come back...

Does she like fossils/minerals, Check out local clubs for field trips.

A tablet to keep her occupied while dads nerding out?

A blanket to keep her warm while dads nerding out?

A good digger and gloves so she don't mess up her nails diggin

Fun, cute, antiqueish kind of ways to display the things she finds

A rock tumbler to work up the stones she finds on the beach

Jewelry building stuff to make agate jewelry or similar

There is still enough time, I could build her some Pink headphones.

That would be a great idea if I could get her to wear headphones but she refuses lol

Tell her to behave.

(good luck with that)

LOL

Throw in an Amazon gift card in her stocking. She’ll find something she likes!

Hi smart phone 11 TP

Does she have a "safari" vest? Lot's of pockets, and she'll look like an explorer. I don't recommend prissy pink versions of the real thing. Just get the real thing. And get the Women's vest, not the kid's.

I spent time as a kid looking for places to dig bottles..parents gave me "The Vanishing American Outhouse". Lots of interesting history in that book. High end reference books are useful. Heck even western novels are fun to read. I bought my daughter a nearly complete set of Zane Grey books. I sure enjoy reading them.

If she is into history..maybe consider an antique of some sort that she will likely keep forever.
Something much better than she could expect to dig...An old lantern..coffee grinder...porcelain sign...IDK

Might I recommend a good pinpointer or an Excaliber shovel or E-Tool for digging.

Perhaps one of these; a pin pointer, good digging tool, field shovel or boots for muddy fields. :icon_thumleft:

She has a Garrett pin pointer, digging tool and a Predator lady bug shovel...

I like the vest idea she might like that and video glasses is a good idea too...

So fare shes getting a standing mirror with a lockable storage behind the mirror basically a big standing jewelry box...

Im also leaning tords getting her some gold pay dirt and a pink pan...

Thanks for all great ideas guys!!
