Please can anybody tell me about this glassware? I need some help identifying this piece of bottle I found underwater, thanks.

I agree with SWR.Man,I can't believe I just said that! ;D.Looks like an applied lip.Probably a wine bottle judging from the color and shape.Do you see any seam lines running down the neck anywhere?If so,where do they stop?If not could be freeblown.Could also be a bimal molded piece.

Hi all, thanks for your comments ther are not seam lines on the bottle, it is totally freblown and hand made the shape is not uniform, but some of you set the date arround 1800 coukld not be earlier? may be 1600? what is demijohn? and carboy?

Thanks Jim of course you have helped me a lot but explain me about a "string lip" what is the different with the applied tappered lip?
