WTG CUBBIES :occasion14: 108 years

What happened? I must have been asleep......

108 years is a long dry spell....Way to go Cubs

First let me extend a well deserved Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs. They played really hard and aggressively. They fought back from a 3 games to 1 deficit. Last night's game was an "Edge of the Seat" type of contest.
My only problem with Chicago winning is the fact that Hillary grew up in a Chicago Suburb.

Regards to Cleveland for a well fought series by two teams that have been waiting a long time! Hope to see you again next year in the post season!

time for a rematch next year....

I prayed the whole time and setup my shrine of the greats who now play at Wrigley in Valhalla. Got the Bank's & Santo's photos in around the mid 60's and the button in the later 60's at Wrigley with my dad and brother who never got to experience this magical moment in life, but I lived on to see it finally happen. I've been a CUBS fan for more then 50 years and I'm still tearing up. I listen to it all come down on the radio stuck in a traffic jam last night.

GOD Bless Harry Caray

When Davis hit the tying homer in the 8th, Cub fans had this look on their face like someone violated their cat.
Classic.
So they pull it out, win the Series....blah blah blah.....I felt empty.
While it was pure drama, gut wrenching, nail biting great baseball.....
As a baseball fan, change is never a good thing.
Instant replay, a countdown clock between innings, more nets down the line, expanded playoff berths....the baseball we grew up with is long gone.....And now the LOSERS of baseball are champs?
Oh the humanity.:BangHead:
All we can hope for now, is that Cubs fans don't become jerks like Yankee fans.

Probably the most exciting baseball game ever. Both teams deserved to win. The Cubs first-basemen put the winning game ball in his pocket. Bet that ball is worth a few $. Way to go Cubs!

I had friends that both had homes on Wavland Ave along the third and home plate.
One would have parties on the 2nd floor and the roof to watch the games.
The poor trees had their branches trimmed to nothing. I worried if a structural engineer
should be contacted as these homes are older and who knows if code was followed in Chicago.
The White Sox have a stadium too but who cares.
Speaking of goats, did you see someone bringing a goat to the game? I don't know if the goat was let in
or not.
