I think with the new software all you have to do is vote or like what ever post you like and it will be a vote for the banner. Well thats how I read it.You found it!! Thank you! I was heartbroken when I lost it.

Also if anyone clicked on the like icon but didn't select the "banner/medal" icon you can change it by redoing your like vote, simply do as described, hover over the "like" button and then click on the "banner/medal" icon, as of this post there's only 5 banner votes out of 25 votes, I had to change my vote to the banner vote because I wasn't aware that you had to click on a certain icon for banner, I'm sure there are many others here that aren't aware either, which maybe why we don't see as many banner worthy finds up on the banner as we did before the software change.
How do you make it banner from a phone?

That's correct and this outlined in how it works. The find has to get over 60 likes, the pictures, and the story behind it.
Also the overall presentation.
Still this doesn't guarantee it being a banner.
There has been high value silver coin, great story, votes, presentation and still it didn't get up on the banner.
Very bias sometimes.
This recovery just has a picture and not much of a story.
