I found one a couple months ago.. I assumed it was part of that marketing campaign.. Keep it.. It's a good conversation piece if nothing else..

It is cool to make a find like that though, over the years I have found gold-plated, annodized, and my favorite, a chrome-plated 1964 silver Roosevelt.

I have found a penny and a dime that were both plated.
I think they did it just to mess with us.

I own one too:

No gold plated cents yet. I do own one seriously, but it is an Edwardian and not QEII. Good detail, but was clearly in jewelry before.
