I've been comparing two interesting setups for natural gold prospecting: the Minelab Gold Monster 2000 and the XP DEUS II with the white HF2 elliptical coil.
For clarity, when we refer to DEUS Gold, we mean the DEUS II + HF2 configuration rather than a separate XP detector model.
The two systems take quite different approaches. The Gold Monster 2000 puts more emphasis on automatic ground tracking and simplified operation, while the DEUS II + HF2 offers much more control over frequency, ground balance, sensitivity, reactivity and the Gold Field program.
We recently put together a detailed comparison including specifications, mineralized-ground performance, small-gold detection, original field photos and comparison videos:

For members who have used either — or ideally both:
Which setup would you prefer for very small gold in difficult mineralized ground, and why?
