Nice day yesterday, no rain.
Also testing a new prototype unit.
After that we ran the dredges.
We have been playing with different mat configs.
Running the 5" and 4" with nothing but bare mats.
Finally... got on to some nice gold grounds. (for Georgia that is)
Running out of time we did a short 30 minute last run.
Here is a bit of the gold from 30 minutes.
I think the total for that 30 minutes was close to 3 grams between the two.
We also picked up a little mecury you can see in the pic.

Nice goldhog.

Nice chunky bits there Gold Hog, couldn't have come too far :icon_thumleft:

Doc
I know running just mats might be helpful in your testing but once you are past that part, why not go ahead and show how the mats work in conjuction with riffles. Real world, I don't know of anyone dredging without riffles. Not a criticisim, just a question. Good health a good hunting... PS.. Pretty gold...

Hey Oakview...
We have 100s of customers running just mats in dredges, not just in the US but all around the world.
Everything from small 2" dredges to 8" commercial outfits.
It does take some custom config often, and takes some getting used to.
It's also why we came out with the RiverHog which is designed for deeper water dredges.
There needs to be SOME flow interruption in really big dredges.
If you're going to leave riffles in, then I would probably go with our Hog Moss or leave the unit set as is from the factory.

Great result!

Nice chunks!

Thanks Doc for the reply, I still like to have riffles...

Very Nice. When I was ready to buy a highbanker I kept fighting between the big Gold Hog and the G1, sadly I chose the G1. 6 weeks, countless phone calls and emails later, I finally received it, in less than perfect condition. Scratches from the dredge kit sliding around inside it during shipping, large crack in the edge. None of the problems affect the functionality of it. I should have gone with my gut, since you guys are in GA and I'm in SC, would have made things a TON easier. BUT, once I start bringing in more gold I'll upgrade to the Hog and use the G1 as a spare or a loaner.
