✅ SOLVED Gold plated wedding ring?

Was this a gold plated wedding ring of some sort? Found at an 1870-1910 site. In the one picture you can see the 18k or 8k on the inside of the band. Rang up 20 on an equinox 600.

In the early years the general stores carried everything.
Gold was unobtainable for many.
So they bought the 18K gold plated instead

Found many, some even had a flash of gold left.
