Out yesterday with my Buddy Scott on a older beach from years ago. I was able to get into a small area and find a few early years trinkets, Several Buffaloes, A few V Nickels, some old Silvers ..18?9 seated half. A stunning Gold ring and Pendent.. I think. The ring and the pendent only have maker marks so I would say they are pre 1906's, both tested 10k.

The hunt yesterday was interesting, I spend 3 hours in one small area digging and digging. After I got the deeper targets I crossed back thru several times stepping into and over my holes finding targets that I had dug while going after another deeper. The water kicked up some so I went into recon mod before leaving to plan my next hunt there.

You are killing it.

Hello OBN
You are not bored to find so many gold rings ? :icon_thumright:

OBN the World Bank called, they want you to stop driving down the price of gold by digging up so much of it.

Congrats. Glad your finding it

Gonna have to buy you one of those old miner's hats....:laughing7:

OBN, just curious do you do well in knee deep water or do you go deeper. I'm 67 and don't like cold water much anymore so knee deep is about all I do with waders which can cause major problems if they get flooded or should I save up for a wet suit? I use a Dual Field

65 years old here and hate cold water. All hunting goes from waist to chin here, there I know the tides drop as much as 8 feet. I would play the tides.

Congrats:
The ring and pendent appear to be in surprisingly good condition for only 10K gold?

All 10k......
Has a lot to do with the conditions, the matrix they were found in..Saltwater salinity, quality of the ring..etc...the ring and pendent posted where over 100 years old. Most come out like the day they were dropped with a little discoloring. The stones sometimes can be a mess or new looking also...the ocean is a mysterious creature.

Before I cleaned them..
