Almost missed one

Short beach hunt yesterday, negative tides four days in a row this week. Stopped across from a hotel to hunt and it looked like someone had carpet bombed the area. There were holes everywhere. Most holes they had taken the trash but there were several where someone just left the trash in the hole. I almost didn’t stay long but I figured there might be something they missed. After about two hours and less than a dollar in clad I got a solid 16 on the manticore. Dug down and rescanned the hole target still there, dumped the scoop and got it on the second try. Very small plain gold band, marked keepsake 10k. Felt good to see gold in the scoop. Rechecked the hole nothing else there, I ran my coil over where I dumped the first scoop and got another signal. Couldn’t believe it another small gold band, also marked keepsake 10k. Both rings are the same size and I’m guessing the same person lost both of them. Total weight was 1.61 grams. Almost didn’t check the sand I had dumped but glad I did. Ended up with 1.82 in clad and the two rings.
