That is beautiful!

Sorry about so many pics. I'm new at posting them!!! Can't you tell? I only meant to use the last one. Somehow when I hit the preview button, I figured that I could see the pic. that I chose. For some reason I actually couldn't, so it looks like I ended up sending all three.

Fantastic find, hawk!! Do you have a story to go along with the ring?? I'd love to hear the story!! :)

Can you post one more for us? Maybe a picture from the top so I can see the band? Top view? Pretty Please?? ;D

Do you think perhaps there was a stone in the middle of that ring when it was new??

Its a great find, but you would never make it through an airport MD ;D, of course now adays you never know ??? ;D

Nice find. I would be happy to find that.

Thanks for the compliments!! Yes, I'll try to get a top view of the ring as soon as possible! When I can get back over to my friends house to use his camera. Yes, Pull-tab Parson!! The hole on the ring is made for some kind of stone, I'm certain of that, as there are actually small tabs around the perimeter of it!! I'm not so sure that it wasn't blown off of a guy's hand during the war. Because of the stone missing and the band being of a hollow-fill type, is actually broken!!! Unlike a solid band that would either be bent and twisted!!

My first and only Gold ring so far!

That is a great find, especially at a CW site. Congrats to you.
Is there anything stamped inside of the band?
Thanks,
MM

Looks very hefty..great find..WTG

HH to all

That is sweet!!!

You sure you don't want to go back and sift through a half yard of dirt around where you found that looking for the stone?

I know it's a long shot, but think of the times you found nothing but pull tabs for hours.

I would agree with Bum Luck. Congrats on the fabulous find!!!
