I took a break from the difficult searching of old abandoned sites and went to a two schoolyards Saturday. It was raining off and on but I managed 4 hours of searching, 1 hour at the first school, then heavier rain stopped me there so I drove to another and had three hours at school 2.

My best finds where a gold ring with little diamond chips, found in the first 5 minutes at school 1, and also a sterling bracelet with 5 onix stones found at school 2.

I totaled $4.07 - 64 coins in clad. Also found a lot of trinkets, pendants, and other goodies including a shot bullet and a musket ball, a "Weather Tamer" pendant thingie??, an intersting key, and a stainless steel old dog ID tag "Buck". I also found a James Monroe Shell Presidents token, the exact one found by Twister 5/13/06 too shown in his post.

Smiles!

Thanks y'all!
Yep, messy stuff but fun. Lots of signals and easy digging. These schools have been searched a lot I am sure, but I did get lucky. Had 10 pounds of trash too, three trips back to the car to empty the trash pouch. Dig em all!!

Lots of interesting stuff. That one ring is nice. ;D You must dig everything to get that stuff. One of these days I'm going to do that. ;)

I have found some of those aluminum tokens. Also the ones with the cars on them. Those must be from the late 60's early 70's...??
