A NEW SHOW FOR US. ---

Starts tomorrow night called "Real Deal" where folks bring their stuff in and are made an OFFER by a DEALER. If they don't like the OFFER they can opt to take it to a "REAL" Auction where they can take their chances on what tey get. Sounds REAL interesting. Anyway, I would have shot Dakota for sure, the Rat. !!! PEACE:RONB :icon_thumright:

reality shows! they are scripted to be entertaining.i wouldnt go much further than that! if it wasnt entertaining, we wont watch it for long!

MY NEIGHBOR WATCHED THE SHOW ALL OF THE FIRST SEASON AND THOUGHT IT WAS
A DOCUMENTARY. :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9:

HE DOESN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A NUGGET AND A HIGH BANKER, BUT IS
SURE HE CAN GO OUT AND FIND GOLD, BASED ON THE SHOW!

I CAN'T FIGURE OUT IF THAT IS A GOOD THING OR A BAD THING. :dontknow: :icon_scratch:
:coffee2: :coffee2:

I suspect you are right Hmmm. Still can't get over Fred tearing down a working wash plant with such a short season. :icon_scratch:

:icon_scratch:
especially after he paid so much for it. :BangHead:
doh
"D'oh!" ( :director: /ˈdoʊ/ doh) is a catchphrase used by the fictional character Homer Simpson.
It is typically used when Homer/Fred, realizes that he has done something stupid .

Finally!!! The Hoffman's did some test sampling :hello2:

Something that Fred and Parker should be doing!

On tonight's after show, Dave Turin kind of spilled the beans if you listened close.

Did anyone else notice that now the Dakota boys are down to just Fred and son :dontknow:

*Behind the scenes
Federal mine regulators have a field day cracking down on Dakota Fred and Parker Schnabel!
http://www.chilkatvalleynews.com/story.asp?Story=1592&Inspections-halt-Schnabel,-TV-mines

Parker Schnabel said he doesn’t doubt that last winter’s TV exposure drew the attention of regulators. According to the Alaska Miners’ Association, there are about 200 small, seasonal placer mines in the state, which federal inspectors are required to inspect once a year. "We’ve been operating 25 years and never had a (federal) inspection," Schnabel said.

Was thinking the same thing as I was reading the Story.
Although the cameras don't catch alot, I wonder if the Inspectors
are Given Directions (Homework) watch the show
& watch closely for Money making oppertunities,
By finding things to Fine them for.
I Am glad Fred got fined though :laughing7:
I just hope Discovery dosn't pay the fines for him.
=======

Add me to the list of those who Cringe when
old man Hoffman talks.

As for as them Complaining about going broke.

My guess they are Multi Millionaires.
Most wealthy people are the first ones to cry poverty
over every cent they spend.
I also doubt any of them were ever in danger of loosing their
homes, Unless they put their wives in charge of paying Bills,
but they are too busy attending Parties showing off
the dogs they carry around Like babies.

unless I Misread, I think
The comment for tonight said Something about a Girlfriend
complicating things ?
I Hope they are not planning on turning it into
a soap Opera. I Look forward to the show.

REALITY TV at its best! have you noticed how the different groups take turns doing good or real bad. thats how the producers of these REALITY shows keep the interest up and the bucks rolling in for them.

I said it before if my worst season allows me to drive brand new trucks and pull brand new trailers the next....I want in!!!!

Hey All, I posted this one one of the other forums as general information. If you sit down at the computer and read up about this show you will find out that it is supported by the Audubon Society, The Sierra Club and several other clubs that are trying to put us out of business. If you search a little further you will find that they actually pay most of the billing. My gut feeling is that this show is intended to show Americans what stupid, non thinking , do whatever you have to, unreliable and uneducated miners are doing to the countryside. I really think it is working too. Many people are watching that show and saying, oh look at that diesle spill, look at how they are in the creek, look at how disorganized that camp is, get the point ? These people will do whatever it takes to undermine the mining community. Subliminal messages seem to work...... I for one will not watch or support this show. Entertainment ? At our expense ? Huh,TRINITYAU/RAYMILLS

I don't see where it benefits the Audubon Society or the Sierra Club or any other organization trying to put us out of business from me just watching the show.
Pretty sure only the electric company will benefit from my TV set being turned on, no mater what program I'm watching :tongue3:

So guess where I'll be at 9:00 tonight...............................Yep watching Gold Rush Alaska :headbang:

Not to worry Trinityau I promise not to donate any money to those org's or if called by AC Nielsen, I'll tell them I'm watching Oprah :laughing7:

Maybe you are right as the public that watches the show is the same public that motivates public opinion. This is the same public opinion that is being viewed by politicians who decide to come up with some of the stupid mining laws we see coming forth everyday. My mistake. TRINITYAU/RAYMILLS

I'm with you Trinity, What we really need is a reality show that promotes prospecting in a more positive light!

Last nights episode left a lot to be desired. :(
One thing though those hydraulic riffles of the Hoffman's look like they will definitely do a good job. :icon_thumleft:

I'm also interested in seeing Fred's de-rocker in action .....hopefully next episode :icon_thumleft:
My sympathy goes out to Fred over the loss of his home.
Poor Fred seems like a lost ball in the tall weeds - Bless his heart.

Seems like Discovery is dragging things out far too long to hold much interest.
Also Parker is a lot more like Jack Hoffman than I first realized except for the voice. :D

GG~

:D

Yep Day off from Working.

I kept saying to Myself,
fire Harness & Get somone else in.
What was it ? A week off to Show off to
some Woman who is probably trying to Be Discovered on the Discovery channel ? Seriously :(

I had to laugh when Parker almost
lost 2 Pieces of Equipment,
& Wondered what
was the the 3rd Piece he was going to
move up the Hill ? :laughing7:

He's what 16 ? Understandable, But Funny.

I'm dissapointed Fred got his running
