Hi all, Just got back from a three day power beach hunt with fairly disappointing results.
First 7 hour hunt ....No gold.
2nd 7 hour hunt nets three gold!
3 hour hunt the next morning plus another 7 hours yesterday nets no gold....

To my surprise there are locals with high end machines all over the place..

On a happier note I did find a pretty unique ring with a swastika. I think this symbol may have some meaning with the Buddhist religion also which is most likely why it is here in Asia but I am not sure.
The Japanese were over this area during the war.

Thanks for looking and HH.

the symbol used to be a "good luck" / religious symbol before Hitler "twisted its meaning --the straight across bars are the non Nazi type --the Nazi type are on a 45 degree "slant"

And the hooks go to the other side, like reversed 180°.
Cool find Birdman. When do you come over?

Unless it was a signet ring which would make the swastika the right way when stamping it into something.

Either way... nice find. If it is nazi related I wouldnt want that karma around me though.

Thanks all for the insite on the ring. Now that I know that it is not a WW2 relic ,it will be easy to sell when gold tops again. :coffee2:

Westfront,I will be there in July 2014.
Still a ways off but looking forward to meeting you. :occasion14:

All signet rings i've seen the swastika was not reversed and the print was 180°. :occasion14:

Why melting?? Sell the ring to someone who didn't know! 'Ultra rare jeweler made Nazi signet ring' That way you didn't lie. :laughing7:

July will be ok. Some fields open then. And a battlefield tour anyways!

Nice finds Birdman, I wouldn't be too disappointed with those finds.
