Went to Long Beach, CA, for a four hour hunt on the beach and started scanning at 5AM. I'm working a new area that I haven't worked before and I barely made a dent, so I will be back. It was 58 degrees short sleeve weather when I started today. Even for SoCal, being that warm that early is unbelievable, but all will change tomorrow.
I found a unmarked gold bracelet that need minor repair that tested for 14k, a Sterling Silver Band with Gold Stripes, a 1963 Silver Roosevelt Dime, and my best find is a Tiffany & Co 925 Ring that looks like a Silver O-Ring. Who Knew!! That Tiffany would make something like that.
I also found a Brass Bell thing, 380 Shell Casing, Unmarked Cross, LA Transportation Token, pile of clad that is not shown, and a Beautiful Sunrise that was taken when I went to the restroom. I'm sure glad they open the restrooms at 5AM. I just love the early mornings for metal detecting. The sounds the machine makes are so much more pronounced and target separation from iron, aluminum, clad, and silver, is a no brainier. I'm to the point that I run the machine wide open, no discrimination at all, full sensitivity, and no ground balance. I've found the machine appears to run hotter without a ground balance, and if I don't need a ground balance, why do it, it just dummies the machine down.
Thanks for Dropping By.....
