I was back at it . Found a gold watch and a 1913 wheat penny.

I'd sure like to see the gold watch ! Have you found a hallmark on the chain ? had it tested ?
 
I don't see any hallmarks, don't think the gold is real I think its just plated, but it was nice to see the gold shinning in the hole even if its just plated. Oh well maybe better luck next time. I still got a 100 year old penny. ..

My mom was born in 1913, so to me your 1913 cent means you'll have extra luck the rest of 2013! My mom didn't do metal detecting, but she & my dad took up rockhounding in their sixties and after many adventures began making custom gem & silver jewelry for family & friends.
