Well I have done a couple hunts this month and its been ok !! Got out to a very tiny swim spot and got 126 coins and a handful of small trinkets, and small silvers. 20210625_074456.jpg 20210625_074449.jpg 20210625_074436.jpg
Then earlier this week I got out to a popular drinking spot 20210711_125152.jpg 20210711_125208.jpg 20210711_125217.jpg 20210711_125223.jpg
After all those coins and pulltabs i finally got a gold one....guess it takes a heaping handful of pulltabs before you strike gold 20210709_070450.jpg 20210711_115142.jpg a nice 14k with 1 karat of diamonds according to my jeweler!! Also got some silvers...ones from a previous hunt and was a plated piece, and the other was a small silver lion fish ring !! 20210711_093047.jpg also got a small bent 925 flower pattern toe ring !! 20210711_104616.jpg so I had 4 good rings and 4 junk rings, along with a couple 925 earrings 20210709_083158.jpg !! Also been freediving at work and along with spearfishing I've been taking my clients shell diving and bottle diving !! 20210711_113402.jpg 20210711_121140.jpg 20210711_121147.jpg nice big horse conchs, and some coral encrusted bottles !! Enjoy your summer and happy hunting everyone !!

Hey fat !! No thats a gas grill regulator....somebody probably lost a grill overboard !! Anything is possible at this spot after some big parties !! Its over a mile out in the ocean and you can only get there by boat/kyak. Florida has some great spots that can only be accessed by boat...especially here in the keys !!

That's a lot of recoveries for the gold! Congrats!!!

I could never justify the 100-200+ tab/cap count for a single gold.
Mind you the sand hunts on AMI over the years was an easier than the grass hunting.

Thanks pepper thanks ARC.....its not that bad pepper.....gliding along in the warm gin clear water. Many targets are just a couple quick waves of the hand. If you were scooping and it took 1-3 tries for each target it would be a chore. In trashy shallow water areas i can recover targets twice as fast as scooping......most of those earrings and small targets would slip through the holes in the scoop also !! I get excited when I get handfuls of pop tops and pulltabs.....people have been partying and gold is close by !! 20210711_144224.jpg I do my part and pick up as much trash as possible also !!

Bart. I can’t swim that well and only tried snorkeling once years ago..When I get a lot of water in my ears it effects the wax and for days I can’t hear and I’m trying to stay out of drs.now.
Yes my wife and I would have been in the Keys along time ago but conditions have to improve.
I called a friend and he told me his father was hospitalized and cleared to go home.A few days went by and his Dad started to be ill and my friend and his wife visited for two hours.
His father passed away from Covid and my friend and his wife got it but recovered for now..
take care

A busy haul.

That Queen conk is huge. Haven't seen anything approaching that size since the 80's.

Pete that one is called a horse conch....the queen conch is protected and illegal to capture live. Im allowed to take the queen conch shell if the animal is already dead and gone. I often see live queen conch that would be world record size if allowed to harvest !!

Beautiful gold ring Bart! That design with the diamonds has to be one of my favorite wedding bands.
