Good beach hunt gives me 2 x 12.19 on the CTX and they aint pulltabs! Gold #21 &#22

Despite the cold and rain, I bundled up and got down to the beach for a low tide hunt. I hadn't been finding a whole lot the last two weeks and with Denny scooping more gold, I decided to follow his advice and check around where he had been the day before. Holy cow! Talk about ALOT of targets. Everything was pretty spread out but would also collect in nice little "hot spots" where I was digging coins sometimes 2 at a time. When I found the spot with all the lead, I was getting those at 3-4 in a scoop!

My outbound leg brought in the little silver ring with fake ice, some bling and a metric crapload of change. The gold both came on my return leg after finding one of those sweet spots where tgts were abundant. There had been a fair amount of can slaw, small aluminum and copper pieces so EVERYTHING was sounding good (12.02-12.23 on the CTX). The first came at 12.19 and sounded just like a complete pull tab but SURPRISE! Mens band with three small (tested real) ice and 14K at 3.8 grams. The second ring was literally 4-5 feet away from the first and it too rang up at 12.19. I figured.."yeah right".....

As I was digging I thought, no way, this one HAS to be a pulltab, I can't be that lucky, but again happily proved wrong! This one is a ladies band that is also 14k and weighs 3.9 grams. The ring has the work "Kuuipo" in script on the outside along with engraved flowers and vines. I looked that one up and "Kuuipo" is Hawaiian for "My Sweetheart". It is both a name and used on many Hawaiian wedding bands.

The little silver is marked "925" and has CZs or some kind of fake ice. There was a bunch of bling with one other earring that is silver and has some kind of small brown stones in it. $8.83 in clad kept me busy too.....no silver or wheats...just more for the Coinstar machine!

A couple more weeks of hunting left in this year so I'm trying to make my revised goal of 25 (was 20) gold rings for the year but we'll see how that goes. Still playing catch up to Denny who just keeps pulling ahead every time he goes out! He's got a nose for the gold! (seen his chain? WOW!)

Lots of pictures, "Beach Fresh" and the cleanup picts are included! Good luck to all of ya..........guess where I'll be again today, hopefully with Max and Denny if available. It's Max's turn now.......gotta lose his mumbles!

From looking at all the coins and trash you dug, you earned that gold! Congratualtions!

6+ hours and soaked to the bone....but worth it!

Awesome gold & silver! Congrats!
Percerverance pays!
I hope you warmed back up.

Very nice, & I like the way you took the time to display them with the shells. Very creative for the "photo op".

What a fantastic hunt!

Gotta love the bling!

Very nice double Doc!! Now put that drysuit on and dig us some more!

Yeah, it's almost drysuit weather.....wore rubber last night and despite the cold and rain, I was pretty toasty, just wore shorts and booties in the wash today.......cold but tolerable.
