Good day for a walk

Felt good today so I decided to walk another creek. It’s been months since I’ve been there. I really had to look hard to find these. I’m tall so I have to bend over as I walk and look. Had a great day and walked 95% of the creek. I found a couple of points a few scrapers a worked blade and a pot leg. The spiders were everywhere I turned and all my paths overgrown but I managed.

Thanks it just got to hot so I headed home. I will walk the whole thing when it gets cooler after the winter rains hit

I’m sure you noticed on the Bakers Creek how the dirt was disturbed. I actually was flipping rocks with my stick when I saw I had flipped one out. I’m not sure if I had even saw it until I flipped it.

I thought the tiny point was a tip until I picked it up. I’ve found some tiny ones in fields but I believe that’s the smallest I’ve ever found in a creek

I think some of the strange scrapers I find could be gun flints. The civil war went through those fields

Flintlocks were about all gone by the civil war. I don’t think either side issued flintlock rifles to their troops during the war.

Good day nice to see some new artifacts rescued. I know about this time of year anywhere I go I grab a small forked stick and wave it in a circular motion as I go to keep the webs and spiders off me

Those are awesome finds and it's good that you got to go out! I love the points but absolutely love the pot leg!
