Good Day -READ Shell

Haven't been hunting for relics in awhile, decided to go for a few hours this weekend and lucked up. Found it in the Jackson Metro area, pictures were taken with cell phone so not real clear. When I saw the rust, figured it was just another piece of iron and but decided to see how big it was and thats when I noticed it had the round shape and saw a tint of green at the end. Was shaking a little when I started taking pictures, was hoping that it was a shell but wasn's completely sure unitl I dug a little more! Found a 3 ringer and that was it. Still a good day.

Have you ID'd it yet? I've hunted up around Champion Hill before. Would like to start hunting more up around Jackson as there is limited CW activity down here.

Have someone who is going to make it safe for me & clean it up, he said it is a READ shell, had wooden plug, not sure how good it will clean up though, pretty pitted, sabot has a gouge on one side. Next time I go will take a digital camera, phone camera just didnt do it justice.
