🏆 HONORABLE MENTION Good deed pays back

I got out early this morning and there was only one other guy in the water. He started in the middle which left me the other half of the beach to take my time. I was just finishing my half as the other guy was leaving. Suddenly i felt someone tap me on my shoulder. Oh no.... some one want the chat.... nope he had a problem. He spoke very very poor english he was from the Ukraine visiting in North Port. I thought he was asking me at first if i found a ring.... then finally i understood he was asking if i could find a ring for him. So we took off down the beach where his wife was standing out there about neck deep. id say she spoke no english. Any way he said her thumb ring had fallen off. The lady was in tears. I told her not to worry id find it. I was just hoping it hadnt moved out there over my head as the tide was coming in. I started on that side of her first.... no joy. So i started griding the area and about 10 ft behind here BAM got the sound i wanted to hear. Scooped it and and there was a HEAVY FAT 18 K gold ring. I showed it to them and the happy dance started. He offered to pay me but i told him i was something i was glad to do. Of course i took my hugs from one pretty lady.

Feeling good about the day even thou i hadnt found anything so far worth of a post i continued detecting. Right off the bat i get a large signal that was broken but i knew it was nothing i normally dug.... so i dug it out popped this nice OLD TIMER 940T pocket knife that i had to clean up. Hunted another hour or so and finished the day with these two good finds. The one is a 18K earring with sapphires and diamonds and the other is a nice white gold 14K with 24 small diamond with 1/2 ct tw. It felt like pay back for a good deed.

Denarius.... yes that was a nice knife. I like a good knife.... at least this one didnt say made in China. Used to be an antique dealer and ive gotten a few good Case ones. Les..... if they hadnt seen me i have no doubt id gotten that fat ole ring down the line... i was heading their way. She was really upset standing in the middle of the beach crying. Im glad it didnt drift to the deep water...... because it was right on that edge of being deep. Boy dont you just hate these kind of finds with diamonds..... to melt or not to melt? Thanks every.... i appreciate the comments.
