'Good' excuses for being late to work....

believable stories;

-My garage door knob is broken and I can't get into the garage for my car... (it's stuck on Lock, so I need to take it apart, and the opener is in the car itself).
-My washing machine is spewing water all over my floor.
-The neighbor is having furniture delivered and there is a huge truck blocking my driveway.

I need one more penny of a certain year to finish my collection, so, gonna go metal detecting for the day. If you don't like it, you can take this job & stick it where the sun don't shine I like the honest approach

One of my carpenters showed up about 4 hours late one morning.
He told me he was driving to work on a country road and a chicken flew into his radiator and punctured it. I'm calling BS on this one, until he reached into his pocket and produced a bill from the local garage and ......... a chicken beak.

True story Happened today!!!! Got a call because a oven was not working!!! Told the lady I would be there In an Hour!!! Walked up the Beach Got In the Truck!!! Drove out of the Park And Go stuck In traffic just outside of the Park!!! The train was having Issues!!!

An hour later we arrived after 2 additional calls to Her tell her that I was still on the way!!! Stove swapped and I still get payed double time Because I'm still On vacation Until Tuesday!!! 2 hours HH Chug So they don't pay overtime so I get Another Half of A day off!!! Sweet Another short Friday!!!!!

Actually used this one; Sorry, but you're wife insisted on making me breakfast. Ken had a really good sense of humor, but you should have seen the blank look on his face when he heard that one.

There is a gas leak in my house...they said the guy would be here sometime between 8am and 4 pm and that I have to be here when he shows up

#1 - tell boss - I was having vision problems ( real reason * I just can't see myself going to work today cuz I wanna metal detect)

#2 my allergys were acting up - ( I am allergic to working on days that I want to go metal detecting )

#3 I needed a "mental health" day --( I was going crazy , and needed to metal detecting to destress)

#4 I had car trouble -- ( I was headed for another boring day at work when it suddenly went in a differant direction * what could I do I was helpless.--it was like it was pocessed or sumpin)

#5 -- I woke up and thought today was saturday or sunday (or whatever your "off"day is .)
