These tokens were not dug they are a friends and he was just wanting to know the value or the history of the tokens.

Has anyone ever heard of nicholas braun? are there any historians around the evansville il. area that could help out?

there's a john braun listed as hotel in 1919 dunn bradstreet.
sorry no other help

Thanks intimer,,, I think nicholas owned a bar but not sure,,, every little bit helps!!

Schmidt reverses without a street address like this are post-WWII. Nicholas L. Braun is listed in the 1946 & 1949 Dun & Bradstreet as operator of a hotel and tavern in Evansville. The 1953 D&B lists him as a tavern only.
