Good intentions, city park

Went downtown to try my luck where the city is tearing up the streets. Found too much activity going on down there, also I kinda felt a little uneasy due to the neighborhood, so I left.
Bored, I then decided to try the city park. Was there for awhile, really hot and sweaty out. Still felt a bit uneasy, noticed a wino on the hill. I don't think the headphones are a good idea at this point, need to be aware of my surroundings.
I did manage a really nice '27 Lincoln. Just about that time some guy appeared outa nowhere and asked, "find anything?" Not really, I replied. "Well, just watch out for any needles!" NEEDLES? Ok, I"m outta here!

I can't help myself, but, I've never liked wearing work gloves. I use my spade more when I come across alot of glass and bad stuff. But mostly after digging a plug, especially with a silver signal, use my bare hands. Haven't been bitten yet.

Except for one 1910 wheatie, my others range from 1942 to 58', wouldn't mind some from the 30's and 20's.

Good luck,
HH.

My gosh, I never use gloves. I never have thought about needles though. A much different world today. Even just the idea of having to go without headphones so you have to be aware of your surroundings. A much different world.

I never have thought about needles either. That does remind me, though, that we were at a small town here in central Mi watching the fireworks. My boys were playing around some bushes, and then one walks up to show us this needle that he found. Living in a small city, I never stopped to realize that this sort of thing happens here, too.
As for not feeling comfortable, it is kind of hard for me to relate to this. In all of the areas I ever spent time doing anything, I've never had such a feeling. I guess that's a blessing. I'd look for a partner.

Hey Duane, I have a few places that I go that are a little scary too. Watch your back my friend.
