Today is the Salem rally at the Capitol. Heard a rumor that many dredges and mining equipment will be on scene as well as hundreds
of Oregon miners. This is what did NOT happen in Sacramento. Regardless of the outcome, congratulations to those who sacfrifice
time and money to fight for miners rights everywhere.:notworthy:

Just getting ready to head out the door, sounds like there should be a good turn out.

Wish i could go

Good luck everyone out there in the west. I have been following your post and all deserve to mine free! It's our land fight for it.

We had a great turnout for such short notice....about 200 to 300 (or more) miners, ranchers, and Public Land users along with several TV Stations that interviewed miners to put it on the news stood in the light rain to support our right to mine. We had quite a few very well informed and dynamic speakers that presented their take on these Senate Bills and explained exactly why they should be killed before they become law. And we were also honored by several Senators and state Representatives that spoke to our issues and concerns by adding that they wouldn't support bills that destroyed rights of miners or public land users and the ability to earn a living. For those that couldn't attend, we that did made enough noise and loud cheers for everyone that couldn't make it to the Rally. You would have been proud! Oh yeah....the author of those bills and his staff left the Capitol Building quite early...guess they didn't care to be interviewed...........<big smiles> :hello:

What TV stations or newspapers should I look for?

Not sure of the Call letters for the TV stations, Fullpan, but Channel 2 out of the Portland, Oregon area and KVAL Channel 13 in the Eugene, Oregon area were there interviewing miners and others at the Rally. Not sure if the local newspapers carried the Rally for Freedom or not. We are NOT done by any stretch of the imagination......these folks got a fight on their hands for sure 'cus we (as pro-miners and public land users) are getting more and more support all the time. And that support is not just from Oregonians either. :hello: Thanks to all that help support the Right to Mine and to use the public lands.....it will help ALL of us in the end.
