Wow! You found some nice things!

Looks like someone made a button for a coat or a child's "spinner". . . (after length of string is passed thru each hole and tied at the end, the child would hold an end in each hand and keep pulling to keep the penny spinning)

1749 George II halfpenny - British

I would like to apply for on spot finds identifier. When can I start? ;D Great finds, keep it up. And yes, you do have a good spot.

1749 King George II halfpenny, as stated above, 1787 Connecticut copper. The best coin there by far, however, is that seated liberty 20 cent piece. An 1875 20 center in that condition is worth anywhere from $250 to $350. If that is an "S" mint mark on the back (I cant really see) it is worth slightly less (about $120-$200)

Wow, some really great finds.

Your Jack in the beanstalk item appears to be the end off of a piece of silverware. Spoon or fork probably. Still, a very unusual find. WTG

Yeah, that's a good spot for sure....nice coins....do you know anything about the history of the "spot"?

Nice stuff and nice spot. Did you polish the George II and the Conn copper?
Take care, Mike in NJ

Very nice!

Great spot ! excellent digs and beautiful pics :o congrats ! hope you get back out there soon and see what else is there ;)

WOW

NEVER MIND about everything else you posted! Finding a 20-cent piece is right up there with finding a GOLD coin!!!!!

Especially one in that good of condition!! PLEASE get that certified and slabbed by ANACS!!!

WTG x 10!!!

These are not dug, found in an old house with a rock foundation .House is being knocked down for a new housing project. These coins were in the first floor walls. It's good to be in construction. .....(BuckleBoy) ;)

Well that explains the nice shape they're in. And that also means that PCGS will certify that 20c Piece also (they usually won't touch dug coins). I like ANACS though because they're affiliated with the American Numismatic Association, I think their grades are more realistic also.

Hey dug or not, a find's a FIND!!!

Thanks for clarifying this for us, PLUM! ;)

Thanks SgtSki,
I'm not a coin buff. How do you go about getting them certified ? I mostly look for civil war items.
Also ,thanks for your service to this country ;D. I served with the First Infantry Div. 3rd 63Armor. 68-71 Viet Nam area vet!

I don't think that he is jealous, considering that he has found many Spanish silvers and coppers.

Kyle

P.S. Next time, state that you actually didn't recover the artifacts from the ground; this will eliminate any doubt of your finds. ;)
