GORGEOUS 1787 NEW JERSEY COPPER "CAMEL HEAD" VARIETY

Had a great day yesterday ! 1st site gave up the bat wing buckle,a few buttons one being a tiny Jacksonian ship button,a conestoga bell that somebody fabricated a new dinger with a string and a button. 2nd site was a small depression next to a stone wall a tombac button spill and a sweet 1787 New Jersey copper coin.

Super NJ copper. I’ve seen 2 dug in W PA and both were toasted. Yours is sweet!!!

Hey walt! thanks so much! I clean my buttons and relics with a soft brass bristled brush with soap & water. as for my copper coins I soak them in room temperature peroxide for like an hour then i grab some q-tips and dip the q-tip in peroxide and work on the surfaces. it all boils down to how well the surface is under the dirt. if it's pitted then thats what you have. I got lucky the soil was kind to this one.
